About Rungtong.com


We make the time honored tradition of sending thank you cards, birthday cards and christmas cards a privilege and not a responsibility with contemporary and whimsy stationery.

About Us

We are 2 people who care deeply about the stationery cards, boxed notes and journals we create for our customers. When we started we were terrified at the prospects of not getting a single order. Today, two years later, we have over 27 retail partners and 1100 customers. Using what we believe to be solid design principles and execution in every aspect of our business from customer care to marketing, you will see we have fun in what we do.

Meet The Founders

Rungtong Monthaniyachat - Co-Founder & Designer

I co-founded my company because I got the courage to do it. I've received awards for my designs but in the end I just took the plunge from my corporate design gig to build a business. I come from a long line of entrepreneurs so it's in my blood, I guess... We know we meet a need for people who love cutesy and fun paper.

Whether for general keep in touch correspondence, thank you cards with our in-famous birds - United Feathered Friends, or you want to send an elegant flocking textured Christmas card to a family or friend instead of a cheesy photo card with no message or personalization.

This is the start of what we hope to be a long-term relationship with our customers and partners. Thanks for learning a little more about us.

Mike Wanner "Aka - Beatle" - Co-Founder

I've always wanted to start a company. After my short stint in corporate marketing and sales, I had an opportunity to join Rungtong in starting her business. Originally, we didn't think working together would be a good idea. Simply because we are opposite personalities when it comes to business. She is the design and creative type, and I am more let's get it done... it doesn't have to be perfect, the customer will let us know whether it's good or not. Now, if you ever had the chance to work with your wife it can liberatiing and super challenging at the same time...

I have the opportunity to keep in touch with our customers. I handle the sales and marketing end with Rungtong and finding partners online and offline. This is going to be an incredible journey, thank you for your support.

Here's What We Believe...

- Be Simple. In design, life and actions. People know when you try too hard and when things don't seem natural. Bells and whistles are great, but the core of who you are and what you do should come through in everything.

- Be grateful for your customers everyday for what you have and what they give us.

- Figure out how to give customers more for less. This is both in what it costs to buy our stationery and how we package and market our products.

- Make every communication as personalized as we an be. We blend a Zappos like culture with a sense of having fun and being structured so we stay grounded but focused on the customer and how to better support each girl, guy, parent, and all the paper lovers.

- Me Too products..ehhh. We believe that even though we might not sell as much as we like now, staying true to our design principles, listening to what customers want, and taking some risks bring us to the end goal of a sustainable business.

- Current customers, future customers and customers not yet born are our investors. They help us pay our vendors, employees, us, and give us a lifestyle. It's a compass we try to tune with what is available to us and what we hope people see us in their minds.

- We are only as good as our last successful stationery card, boxed notes, journals, letterpress card, flocking boxed notes... anything that someone purchased enough to allow us to order more and design similar products in style and paper.
